Green, Red and Blue Christmas Decorations

green red and blue Christmas decor

Hi there! What's your favorite color scheme for Christmas? Right now, I really love lime green, blue, and red. If you read this blog, you know I'm a blue person. Our whole house is mostly gray and blue, with some green thrown in. But try as I might, these colors just didn't move come Christmastime. But then I embraced red for the season, and I love how festive it feels! Here are the ways I decorated with blue, green and red in our living room and kitchen this Christmas.

I used a couple of tricks to create this look on the cheap. For instance, I replaced the prints that are normally on the shelf above our couch with printable art from Live, Laugh, Rowe; Craftberry Bush; and Today's Creative Life.

I used bulbs that wouldn't fit on our tree to fill glass hurricanes I bought on clearance from Marshall's.

And I like to use vintage elements here and there, such as the hand-sewn vintage tree skirt made by my Grandma, and the "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" music box. You can give new life to vintage Christmas decorations using things you find at flea markets, yard sales, Goodwill, and eBay.

Tomorrow, I'll show you our family room...it's all decked out in blue and silver and has a new look this year. Here are some other posts you might like:
