Winter Wreath

One of my favorite things about winter is the sight of a cardinal in the snow. That's what inspired me to make this winter wreath for our front door. This little guy was perched near the top of our Christmas tree this year, but before I packed him away, I gave him new life on this DIY wreath that has gone through many incarnations thanks to Velcro dots. If you've ever made a yarn wreath before, you know the wrapping can be tedious. After making one, I thought I'd try to get as much mileage out of it as I could by using Velcro dots to change out the felt flowers and other embellishments. I have to say, its most recent look is one of my favorites, and it's only by coincidence that it just so happens to be in the right colors for the college football championship game coming up on January 12. (O-H!)
