Craft of the Week: Paint Pen Artwork

I had seen this idea in Family Circle, but thanks to Posed Perfection, I now have the confidence to try it. I'm thinking it might be great to use pictures of ferns or leaves and make a whole bunch of them to hang in a grid. You'll be the first to know how it turns out! But in the meantime, how would you use this technique? All it requires is a picture, a frame with glass, some colored paper and a paint pen. You could trace pictures of objects, like keys, cameras, or bikes...any kind of botanical of course...designs like paisley prints or fleur de lis...birds (like owls)...for a kids' room, you could trace pictures from a coloring book of animals, or cars and trucks. Hmmm...there are lots of possibilities. I love craft ideas that are so adaptable, don't you?

Peaches and Cream Scones

Good morning, sunshines! Sadly, peach season is coming to a rapid close, but before it's gone for another year, you've gotta try these scones! They taste like peach cobbler that you can hold in your hand! If you recall, I rounded up some great peach recipes for you a few weeks back, and this was one I just had to try myself. The recipe comes from A Latte Food . The only thing I changed was the amount of vanilla that went in the glaze. I decreased it from 1 T. to 1 tsp. Hey there! Happy Monday! Have you undecorated for Christmas yet? I have to do a decoration detox for a bit after the holidays. I keep the decor to a minimum, but around now, I start to think about Valentine's Day decorations. I think it's hard to work with red and pink since our house is mostly blue, gray and green.
