Craft of the Week: Faux-Vintage Crate


Love the look of vintage crates? You can make your own like these from Uncommon Designs. They'd be great for organizing an entryway shelf or a bookcase, and I like the idea of staining them the shade you like best. I think I may try this, maybe with the addition of a French label graphic.



Thrifty Decor Chick made one of these, too. Hers is bigger, though, making it a great size for the deck, in my opinion...maybe for pool toys or extra pillows. Plus it's on casters...

Peaches and Cream Scones

Good morning, sunshines! Sadly, peach season is coming to a rapid close, but before it's gone for another year, you've gotta try these scones! They taste like peach cobbler that you can hold in your hand! If you recall, I rounded up some great peach recipes for you a few weeks back, and this was one I just had to try myself. The recipe comes from A Latte Food . The only thing I changed was the amount of vanilla that went in the glaze. I decreased it from 1 T. to 1 tsp. Hey there! Happy Monday! Have you undecorated for Christmas yet? I have to do a decoration detox for a bit after the holidays. I keep the decor to a minimum, but around now, I start to think about Valentine's Day decorations. I think it's hard to work with red and pink since our house is mostly blue, gray and green.
