Craft of the Week: Leafy Monogram Door Hanging

Hi, bloggy friends and readers! How was your weekend? Fall is definitely in the air around here. This afternoon, I hope to squeeze in a hike in the Metro Parks before it rains tomorrow. We'll take our nature buckets and collect some acorns and leaves, I'm sure. Makes for a nice afternoon...

Here's another fall-ish craft for you. Blogland is overflowing with autumnal ideas right now, isn't it? Here's a door hanging that I just loved from Two Twenty One. For one thing, I love the mossy frame. She used foam core, but you could use an old picture frame if you have one. Also, you could change out what hangs inside of it, or decoupage the monogram any way you want. The artificial leaves are beautiful, though. Awesome idea...thanks, Chelsea!

Peaches and Cream Scones

Good morning, sunshines! Sadly, peach season is coming to a rapid close, but before it's gone for another year, you've gotta try these scones! They taste like peach cobbler that you can hold in your hand! If you recall, I rounded up some great peach recipes for you a few weeks back, and this was one I just had to try myself. The recipe comes from A Latte Food . The only thing I changed was the amount of vanilla that went in the glaze. I decreased it from 1 T. to 1 tsp. Hey there! Happy Monday! Have you undecorated for Christmas yet? I have to do a decoration detox for a bit after the holidays. I keep the decor to a minimum, but around now, I start to think about Valentine's Day decorations. I think it's hard to work with red and pink since our house is mostly blue, gray and green.
