Craft of the Week: Vacation Memory Jars

We are on vacation at Lake Michigan this week, so I thought it only fitting that this week's craft be vacay-related. I posted about alternatives to scrapbooking and time capsules quite awhile ago, but stumbled upon this version of a vacation memory jar by Echoes of Laughter and thought the idea beared repeating. Creating one of these would give you and your family such a tangible memory of your time together, not to mention a grouping of them would look fab on display somewhere. We have our vacation pictures tucked away in albums or even (I should be ashamed) still on our camera; but, this idea would put happy reminders of our time away together right up front and center. This would be something our kids could enjoy helping with, too. Love it!

Peaches and Cream Scones

Good morning, sunshines! Sadly, peach season is coming to a rapid close, but before it's gone for another year, you've gotta try these scones! They taste like peach cobbler that you can hold in your hand! If you recall, I rounded up some great peach recipes for you a few weeks back, and this was one I just had to try myself. The recipe comes from A Latte Food . The only thing I changed was the amount of vanilla that went in the glaze. I decreased it from 1 T. to 1 tsp. Hey there! Happy Monday! Have you undecorated for Christmas yet? I have to do a decoration detox for a bit after the holidays. I keep the decor to a minimum, but around now, I start to think about Valentine's Day decorations. I think it's hard to work with red and pink since our house is mostly blue, gray and green.
